A great day to learn to cast…

Went over to a friends house, and started learning to cast bullets and learn to reload. We had a great time, laughing about some of the rounds we were working on.
We cast some 9mm 124g, 45/70 340g, and 40cal. It was cool to learn how to cast lead properly, and there are some images located here.
We laughed about the ft/lb energy of the 45/70 450g round. It’s somewhere around 3200ft/lbs of energy, which is akin to throwing a car at something. Sort of like “Here, hold on to this car!”
